Krape Park and Taylor Park are currently open to the public.  As a safety precaution, areas in both parks have been barricaded due to flooding. Patrons are asked to stay away from the water and to call 911 to report any emergency.

Art Class at Krape Park

Painting classes begin soon at the Krape Community Building. The Fall Trees class will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-8 p.m.  Participants will learn a variety of acrylic painting techniques. Registration for this class ends on September 28, 2018.  Cost is $20 for residents/$25 nonresidents. Materials will be provided.   REGISTER NOW  

Mosquitoes!

We've had a number of calls about mosquitoes and we agree, it's a nuisance all over the area. Mosquito spraying is controlled by Freeport Mosquito Abatement. Rock N Glow Mini-Golf

Putt, putt, putt and tap, tap, tap to dance tunes from Jitterbug Entertainment. We’ll be playing glow-in-the-dark miniature golf at Yellow Creek Adventure Golf on Friday, August 10th from 8-10 p.m.  Admission is $5.00 per person and no reservations are needed.  Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Choral Society Summer Concert

Alas…it’s the last music concert for the season.  On Sunday, August 5th from 7-8:30 p.m., beautiful voices blend with the treetops to serenade summer’s end.  There is plenty of seating at the bandshell or bring your favorite lawn chairs.  Admission is free.

Kayaking Classes: Hop In!

Kayaking 101 classes will be offered on July 21 from 9-11 a.m. at the Krape Park Boat Rental Docks.  These Saturday classes will focus on basic skills including proper use of equipment and paddling strokes.  Costs are $10 for residents/$12 for non-residents. Register by July 18th. Register Now

Movie in the Park
