Freeport Park District Foundation

Freeport Parks Foundation

Since 2006, The Freeport Parks Foundation has been focusing on our mission – to support the Freeport Park District in achieving its goal of improving the quality of life in the community by encouraging philanthropy and volunteer services. We raise funds through community partnerships, individual donations and annual fundraising events such as the Autumn Leaf Trail Run. Funds raised, along with individual donations are invested into the Freeport Park District for the enhancement of its programs and facilities, which contribute to a long-lasting legacy for generations to come.

Over the last few years, the Freeport Parks Foundation has been able to provide support for the following projects in our park district:

  • Commissioner’s Garden
  • Tree Replacement
  • Memorial Commemoration
  • Oakdale Playground Construction
  • Read Park Improvements
  • Landscape and Beautification Projects

The Foundation is guided by a Board consisting of community members and business leaders dedicated to improving the quality of life for our residents through recreation, leisure and open space.
