Astronomy Class Begins May 1

Star Gazers Wanted! Doug Firebaugh Observatory is providing a 6 week series called Starting Out in Astronomy. Through a mixture of discussions and hands-on activities, this course will provide a foundation in the science and hobby of astronomy and understanding of the night sky. Classes will be held at the Observatory located at 2892 W. Stephenson St. in Freeport, IL. All course materials will be provided. The Observatory is not heated so be sure to bring warm jacket on cool nights.
