Special Events

Set sail for a day of friendly competition and poolside fun! Participants will compete in teams of two, showcasing their creativity and boating skills as they race homemade, decorated, and designed boats across the water. All boats must be fully built prior to race day. Awards will be presented for speed, creativity, and team spirit! Standard admission for spectators and must sit in designated seating area. Swimming is not permitted for spectators. Registration is by team, and only one person per team is required to register. Once registration closes on July 10, all teams will receive a list of rules and accepted materials. Event check in will begin at 9am with races and awards to follow. Open swim will be available after the races.

Drop the kids off for a fun-filled night at the park while you enjoy some well-deserved time to yourself! Kids are invited to wear their favorite pajamas and join us for an evening of music, movies, pizza, snacks, crafts, and games. It’s the perfect way for kids to have a blast while parents take a break! Limited spots available, each child needs a registration.

Don’t miss your chance to run, walk, and celebrate fitness in the heart of Pretzel City! Whether you’re a novice runner tackling your first 5K or a seasoned competitor chasing a new personal best, the Pretzel City 5K is the perfect race for you. The course features flat roadways and scenic paths that wind through beautiful Krape Park, a great route for runners and walkers of all levels. This event is part of the Rockford Road Runners circuit, so lace up and join the fun! All pre-registered participants will receive an official event t-shirt. Awards and refreshments to follow the completion of the race. Join in on some family friendly competition to promote teamwork, problem-solving, and community fun through a timed puzzle-solving competition. Teams of 2–4 participants will compete to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. Winners determined by fastest completion time or most completed puzzle at the end of the time. Annual puzzle included in registration for take home, and participants can bring food and drinks. (No Alcohol or glass permitted)
