Public Update: Krape Park South Entrance Improvement Project Begins Monday, July 6.
The Freeport Park District is excited to begin the Krape Park South Entrance Improvement Project, a significant enhancement that will improve safety, accessibility, and the overall visitor experience at one of the District’s most visited parks.
The project will improve traffic flow, expand access for emergency responders and school buses and create a safer, more welcoming entrance for the thousands of visitors who enjoy Krape Park each year. To allow construction to proceed safely and efficiently, the Krape Park South Entrance will be closed to the public beginning Monday, July 6, and will remain closed throughout the duration of the project. Every effort will be made to accommodate emergency responders whenever possible.
Updates will continue to be shared as construction progresses, and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as these improvements are completed.
