Krape Park

A community treasure and local favorite, Krape Park is where nature, recreation, and adventure come together. Located along the scenic Yellow Creek, this award-winning park is packed with attractions for all ages and interests. Bidwell Park

Tucked in the west end of town, Bidwell Park features a scenic walking path, playground, and open green space—perfect for casual strolls and family outings.

Knowlton Park

Winter Park

Wilbur Park

Taylor Park

Read Park

One of our most popular destinations, Read Park is a hub for community fun. With multiple playgrounds, tennis courts, pavilions, and access to the Read Park Family Aquatic Center there’s something for everyone.

Oakdale Nature Preserve Park

Located just three miles south of Freeport on Baileyville Road, Oakdale Nature Preserve offers 133 acres of forests, streams, and restored prairies. This wooded wonderland has many new amenitie,s including a spacious picnic shelter, nature-based playground, trail enhancements, and wayfinding signage. There is plenty to do at Oakdale year-round!
