Freeport Park District is seeking Park Rangers to monitor and enforce rules of parks and facilities. The ideal candidate shall be at least 21 years of age with good moral character. High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
Duties: Monitors and enforces rules of parks and facilities. Educates general public concerning preservation of land, safety, Park rules and regulations. Provides surveillance by vehicle, foot, bike or boat. Strives for voluntary compliance with General Use Regulations through education. Responsible for crowd and traffic control at District special events. Provides emergency assistance and assists in maintaining order. Responsible for completion of reports; for use and care of equipment including vehicles. Reports unsafe conditions and areas in need of repair or maintenance to appropriate department. Ensures cleanliness of facilities used by the public during operational hours when no maintenance personnel are present. Hours vary.

Starting Hourly Wage: $15/hr.
