Freeport Park District is seeking law enforcement officers to monitor and enforce rules and regulations of the Park District. Applicants must be in good standing as a sworn police officer with the Illinois Police Training and Standards Board, or be able to receive status waiver upon appointment to the position of Park Police Officer.
Duties: In support of Freeport Park District’s mission, purpose and vision, the Freeport Park Police will ensure that all employees and patrons feel safe and welcome while utilizing and enjoying District facilities and activities by enforcing the Freeport Park District’s General Use Regulations, local, and State laws, protecting and preserving facilities and the park’s natural qualities and resources for future generations. Park Police Officers must maintain good relations with local and regional law enforcement agencies. Hours vary.

Starting Hourly Wage: $20/hr.
