Renovations continue on the Krape Park Carousel. Last Fall, the entire structure was moved from its site. While disassembled, the structure, ticket booth, accents and horses were refurbished keeping the spirit of the 1995 renovation intact. Remaining site work includes a new plaza to support the Carousel structure featuring wide walkways, iron fencing and limestone pillars.
According to Ron Schneider, Superintendent of Recreation, “The Carousel has been a community treasure and focal point in Krape Park since its installment in 1959. Nearly sixty years later, we’re making improvements from the ground up to ensure its legacy and enjoyment for generations to come.”
