Hours for Memorial Day Weekend: Krape Park Amusements, Read Park Family Aquatic Center and Park Hills Golf Course
Scenic spaces and fun places will be open for all to enjoy at Freeport Park District locations this weekend, May 25-27, 2019. Trails and nature areas are open from dawn to dusk.
Krape Park boat rentals, carousel and mini-golf will be open from 11:00 am- 8:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday and from noon- 8:00 pm on Monday. Parking is available by the boat rental dock adjacent to the Krape Community Building. Boat rental rates per ½ hour are $5 for Canoes and Kayaks, $8 for 2-seat paddle boat, and $10 for 4-seat paddle boat. Rates for the carousel are 50 cents per ride and mini-golf is $3 for Youth, 17 yrs. and younger, and $4 for Adults, 18 yrs. and older. For weather updates on Krape Park Amusements call 815. 801. The Read Park Family Aquatic Center, located at 867 W. American Street, will be open all three days from 11:00 am- 5:00 pm Daily admission rates for adults over 18 yrs. are $6 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Rates for youth under 18 yrs. are $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
