SUMMARY:Public Notice: Krape Park South Entrance Closure
DESCRIPTION:As work continues on the Krape Park South Entrance Improvement Project\, the south entrance will remain closed. \nLimited through-traffic has been permitted during portions of construction; however\, beginning September 8\, 2026\, no traffic will be allowed through the south entrance until the project is complete. Completion is currently anticipated for mid-October. \nWe appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as crews continue working to complete these important improvements.

SUMMARY:Lego Builders Park Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Show off your creativity by building a Parks and Recreation-themed LEGO® display for a chance to win! Creations may depict 1. wildlife\, 2. landscapes\, 3. nature\, 4. recreation\, and people at play\, sports\, or any other park-inspired scene. \nBring your completed LEGO® creation (maximum size: 12” tall x 12” wide x 12” deep) to the Freeport Park District Administration Center by September 11\, 2026\, and register your entry for just $10. \nAll entries will be displayed for public voting at the Administration Center from September 14 through October 2\, 2026. Encourage your friends and family to stop by and vote! Prizes will be awarded based on the total number of votes received. \nThe Grand Prize winner will receive a $50 Park Gift Certificate\, while runners-up will receive Family Fun Packs to enjoy attractions and amenities at Krape Park! \nBuild\, display\, vote\, and celebrate the creativity of our community!
